No one hits $535 million Powerball jackpot — but an L.A. store sells $1 million ticket
It wasn’t $535 million.
But a Los Angeles liquor store sold a Powerball ticket worth $1,095,207 by five matching numbers – but not the magic Powerball number, the California Lottery reported Saturday night.
In case you are wondering, the winning numbers were 17, 19, 39, 43 and 68. The power number was 13, according to the California Lottery website.
The ticket was sold at Verchers Liquor at 12020 South Central Avenue in Los Angeles.
The next big jackpot is expected to be worth $650 million and will be held Wednesday.
The Aug. 17 drawing yielded a $608,157 ticket that was sold at a gas station near Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
In June, Marietta Liquor & Deli in Menifee sold a $447.8 million prize.
Prior to that, a Chino Hills 7-Eleven sold one of three tickets in a $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot worth $528.8 million apiece.
