Knight provides the highlights in St. Margaret’s season-opening triumph

Running back Marcus Knight rushed for three touchdowns and threw for one as St. Margaret’s opened its football season with a 34-14 victory over Kealakehe High on Friday night in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

Senior receiver Ryan Cragun caught two touchdown passes for the Tartans (1-0), including one on a halfback pass from Knight.

Knight, a senior, scored on runs of 4, 18 and 68 yards.

St. Margaret’s led 13-7 at halftime, but pulled away to a 34-14 lead after Knight’s 68-yard run with 8:04 left in the fourth quarter.

The Waveriders (0-2) opened their season with 20-7 loss to Damien of Honolulu, which lost to Villa Park, 14-6, on Friday night.
