Country superstar Shania Twain will bring her Now Tour to Staples Center in 2018
After a successful headlining performance at the annual three-day Stagecoach Country Music Festival in Indio back in April, country music superstar Shania Twain has announced dates for a full fledged 2018 summer tour.
Twain kicks off the 48-date run on May 3 in Washington and winds down the jaunt with a stop at Staples Center (1111 S. Figueroa Street) in Los Angeles on Aug. 3.
This tour will be Twain’s first since her 2015 comeback Rock This Country Tour in 2015. She’s also ready to drop her first new album in 15 years, “Now,” on Friday, Sept. 29. She’s already given fans a taste of her new music with the singles “Life’s About to Get Good” and her latest, “Poor Me.”
“This was an exercise in independence,” Twain said during a previous interview of the writing process for “Now,” the follow-up to 2002’s “Up!” and the first release since her divorce from producer Robert “Mutt” Lange.
“I really just wanted to test myself and push my limits and face my fears. I haven’t worked alone in a really, really long time after all of those years of being partnered with Mutt professionally. It was a huge leap of courage for me to do this alone and I knew I was going to be carrying the weight of it alone, too. I just kept challenging myself and telling myself ‘OK, you’re going to write this album and we’ll find out what you’re made of these days.’”
The American Express Card Members pre-sale for the Now Tour begins at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 22 and ends at 10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24. The general on sale starts at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 25 at 213-457-1647 or AXS.com.
